Sitron’s LH840-S (small diameter) Hydrostatic Level Transmitters are used to measure the level of liquids in tanks, wells, and other containers. With its extremely thin diameter probe, it is able to be installed within pipe diameters as little as 3/4”. Like all of Sitron’s products, the LH840S can be made in a many pressure ranges.
How it works: The external force of the process pressure induces the displacement of an electrical charge which accumulates on the opposite surface of the pressure cell. This generates an output signal which is converted to a 4 … 20 mA signal (2-wire), directly proportional to the applied pressure.
Hydrostatic level measurement is commonly used in various industries, including food, water/wastewater, and chemical processing, to name a few. All of Sitron’s Hydrostatic Level Transmitters are fully temperature compensated within the stated range and are offered with surge protection.
